Moving from a transition project into ‘planning for progression 7-14'

The Staffordshire transition project 2008-09 has very much focused on ensuring that activities undertaken are supporting secondary colleagues and on progression. Also, looking at a different start to Year 7: impact of individual projects from 2007-08.

An outcome of the original project 2007- 08 was the importance of secondary teachers having the opportunity to spend quality time with primary colleagues for example, to observe lessons other than MFL, in order to gain experience of primary methodology.

Impact
The colleagues involved in the project have greatly contributed to supporting the Local Authority with strategic planning in this area. The aim is for the working group to continue. They are also working on including another channel of the MFL website for 7-14, so colleagues can access all the work done so far. Read more (doc, 51KB)
